John Donne Christmas Cards
These Christmas cards are printed on quality letterpress card stock from Boxcar Press. In Gothic type accented by a two-color drop capital, they feature lines celebrating the incarnation of God in Christ from John Donne’s Holy Sonnet XV:
‘Twas much that man was made like God before
But that God should be made like man, much more.
The lines are accompanied by a vintage letterpress block depicting the nativity of Jesus in the stable at Nazareth printed in metallic gold ink.
The cards were made with hand-set type in two print-runs through an 1892 Golding Pearl printing press.
Each card comes with a matching envelope.
