A letterpress print of William Morris’s commitment to changing the world, no matter how incrementally, through bringing more beauty into it. The print is 6 by 9 inches and printed on cream Mohawk paper.
The border is a hand-carved linocut inspired by the frontispiece of a late nineteenth-century American edition of Morris’s News from Nowhere. The typefaces used are Century Old Style and Old English blackletter. The type is hand-set, and the print was created in two runs on a 1911 Chandler and Price platen press in my studio in White River Junction, Vermont.
