Letterpress print of lines from T.S. Eliot's "Dry Salvages," from the collection Four Quartets. This was the print that started it all for me and ignited my love for letterpress. The ink is brown mixed with bronze for a subtle shimmer against the cream paper.
Hand designed and printed in Nashville, Tennessee on a Vandercook printing press. It was a limited print run, so once they're gone, they're gone!
17 1/8" by 12 7/8"
These are only hints and guesses,
hints followed by guesses;
and the rest is prayer, observance, discipline,
thought and action.
The hint half guessed,
the gift half understood,
is Incarnation.

This finally came — it took about six weeks, no fault of Scale House Print Shop, just the wonkiness of the USPS. It's very high quality and I also adore the letterpress Walker Percy bookmark thrown in — the shop certainly knows its audience!
