Elizabeth Bucer - These Urchins
This print is from a postscript Elizabeth Bucer added to a letter that her husband, Martin Bucer, wrote to their friend Margaret Blauer in August 1534. He explained to Margaret that Elizabeth was busy looking after the eleven children who lived in their home, and besides, did not enjoy writing. Elizabeth added this comment at the end.
This print is 8” by 10” and letterpress printed on French Paper Co. speckletone paper. It was printed on my 1913 Chandler and Price printing press, hand inked and with handset type. Each print will vary slightly.
